Algarve is the most southwest region of Europe. The work emphasizes the two sides of Algarve. The coast, dedicated to tourism and leisure, and the interior more traditional, that lives from history and agriculture.
Algarve is the most southwest region of continental Europe. The painting enhances to sides of Algarve: a) The coast dedicated to tourism and leisure, with com marinas, water parks, golf courses and luxury hotels; b) the interior more traditional represented by 1) places known their history (Silves, Mértola and Lagos) or by its special location (Sagres and Monchique mountains); 2) its’ chimneys; 3) its plants (orange, lemon, carob, almond, arbutus, fig, cork, and holm oak trees; 4) and a wooden sculpture. Earth and sea are represented by rocks and minerals.
